Physiotherapy

The objective of rehabilitation is to get you back up to speed following cardiac surgery, so that you can face the challenges of everyday life. Experienced physiotherapists who are specially trained to provide therapy after cardiac surgery will support you and develop a customised training programme for you in agreement with the physicians and nursing staff. This programme will be reviewed and redefined on a daily basis. Physiotherapeutic treatment will usually take place between 8 am and 4 pm.

Sometimes two physiotherapists will take care of you simultaneously. This is due to the fact that this is a teaching hospital, which means that we are training the physiotherapists of the future. They are to receive as much practical experience as possible and therefore accompany the daily work of the pros. On principle, every activity is supervised by a teacher. This means, you have double the support.

We will, of course, supply all materials you need for your personal training programme.
