Support that does a world of good
Support groups offer invaluable support with regard to problems and existential crises. They provide both those affected and their families with a platform for the exchange of information and experience. But they can help even more.
Talking to other people who have experienced the same or similar is also a consolation. The support group members realise that they are not the only ones facing these challenges and that there is more than one way to face them. Support groups have proven to be a mainstay in motivating our patients and in assisting them to overcome both physical and mental distress.
