Cardiac resynchronisation therapy - CRT
Some people suffer from pronounced heart failure, which also involves the conducting system or the spread of electrical excitation and repolarisation. This is expressed as poor or unbalanced interaction between the two ventricles (ventricular dyssynchrony), which leads to pathological ventricular filling and disorders of wall motility.
Targeted stimulation of the two ventricles (biventricular stimulation) is intended to synchronise the uncoordinated interaction of the two ventricles (cardiac resynchronisation).
